ME

Passionate About Flying and Inspiring Others

My name is Carl Van Raemdonck and I'm a Professional Pilot Coach and Line Training Captain on Airbus A330 and A340.

When I was 4 years old, I was infected by the “flying” virus and I never got rid of it. It was then that I flew for the first time with my father, a private pilot. For me it was sensational. The feeling of freedom, flying like a bird!! Since then, I only had one dream; becoming a pilot. And that’s what I am now.

I first went to University to get a Master Degree in Engineering. It was a good technical base to become a Pilot. In 1996, I received my Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and started flying as a F/O on a Citation Jet (CJ) based in Antwerp. The next year, I was very lucky to start with a small Belgian Airline, Constellation Int'l Airlines, which was waiting to receive it's first two Airbus A320's. I went to the Airbus Training Center in Toulouse/France to get my first Type Rating and that was the start of my flying career. After that I flew on 737's, A330's and Citation XL/XLS's with different companies. At the moment I'm flying as a Line Training Captain for a Belgian Airline on Airbus A330 and A340.

I was lucky to grow up in the aviation world. A world which is unknown and mysterious to most people. The only thing what most people know about flying is what they see when watching Hollywood movies... and we all know this is not the reality.

Many young people who want to become a pilot, are standing in front of the unknown. How can I become a Pilot? What are the possibilities? Which Flying School do I need to choose? What are the differences? What are the costs? What does a pilot really do? Can I believe all the stories that flying schools are telling me? How does an Airline interview looks like? What do I need to put into a cv? ....

Many don’t receive any help from their parents because they don’t know anything about flying.

During my career, I received lots of questions about my profession. Most of these questions, are the same and this was the trigger for me to start Coaching candidate pilots and pilots.

Many Happy Landings.
